Lawyers’ Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme has announced new plot allocations for members of the legal profession, with Sir Chris Dike, Esq., of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, listed among its latest allottees.
The initiative, which is being promoted as an opportunity for lawyers to acquire land, develop residential properties and establish long-term rental income streams, has also announced the availability of a limited number of plots at previously advertised rates.
According to the promoters, two plots measuring 300 plot-sizes each and three additional earmarked plots remain available for interested participants.
The scheme encourages lawyers, particularly senior members of the Bar, to consider developing residential accommodation, including flats for rental purposes and staff quarters that could help address accommodation challenges faced by younger legal practitioners.
Under the announced payment arrangement, prospective allottees can secure a plot with an initial deposit of 50 per cent, while the outstanding balance may be spread over a period of two years through monthly instalments.
The organisers also indicate that participants who introduce prospective buyers may earn a facilitator’s fee of at least ₦1.2 million, representing five per cent of the applicable transaction value, subject to the scheme’s terms.
TREASURY BILLS INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY
Alongside the land acquisition programme, the promoters have announced a cooperative investment opportunity through LIBI Cooperative and Money-Market Group, with a Treasury Bills primary bidding date scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The investment options advertised include:
- ₦2.5 million investment group: Advertised upfront yield of ₦424,000.
- ₦1 million investment group: Advertised upfront yield of ₦169,600.
The organisers further state that postdated cheques covering participants’ capital will be issued under the advertised one-year investment arrangement.
Prospective participants are, however, advised to independently verify the investment structure, the identity and regulatory status of the participating cooperative, the applicable Treasury Bills instrument, the actual yield, associated charges and the terms governing the repayment of capital before committing funds.
ALLOCATION AND PHYSICAL INSPECTION
The organisers have also announced opportunities for prospective participants to inspect the properties and obtain further information about available allocations.
The advertised inspection schedule includes November 1 and November 2, 2026, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., in Abuja.
Interested lawyers who cannot attend personally are encouraged by the organisers to nominate representatives to participate in the inspection and allocation process.
