A suspected bandit identified as Usman has reportedly issued threats against communities around Kwanji and Babanna, in the Borgu and Agwara local government areas of Niger State, as well as settlements along the Niger–Kebbi border.
According to Naija News, the threat was brought to public attention by conflict and security reporter Bakatsine, who shared a video of the suspected bandit on his social media page.
In the video, Usman allegedly called on Fulani residents in the affected communities to leave the area, while declaring that they would no longer approach Miyetti Allah or seek legal redress through the courts.
Bakatsine’s post said the man threatened communities around Kwanji, Babanna, Borgu and Agwara and called on the Niger and Kebbi state governments and security agencies to investigate the video and act before the threat escalated into violence.

The suspect reportedly warned that several communities would be destroyed and that residents would face serious consequences.
He also asked those who received the recording to forward it to government authorities, prominent Fulani leaders and the governors of Niger and Kebbi states.
Usman claimed that previous attempts by Fulani communities to resolve their grievances through the courts had failed, questioning the usefulness of continuing to pursue legal remedies.
He further threatened that residents would not be permitted to cultivate their farms in the affected areas, raising concerns about food production and the livelihoods of farming communities.
The reported threat comes amid persistent insecurity across Borgu and Agwara, where residents have previously raised alarms over attacks, displacement and the absence of adequate security protection.

Earlier reports indicated that residents of some communities in both local government areas had fled their homes following deadly attacks and threats of renewed violence.
Community leaders have also described Borgu and Agwara as areas under sustained security pressure, warning that attacks have forced farmers to abandon their land and disrupted education and other economic activities.
Naija News reported that Bakatsine urged the Niger and Kebbi state governments, alongside relevant security agencies, to treat the video seriously and determine the identity, location and capacity of the person issuing the threats.
The authorities were also urged to strengthen security deployments across the affected border communities and prevent any attack capable of worsening existing tensions between farming and pastoral communities.
As of the time of filing this report, the Niger and Kebbi state governments and security agencies had not publicly announced the outcome of any investigation into the video.
The identity and claims of the man in the recording have not been independently verified.
