In a heartfelt goodwill message, Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson has extended warm felicitations to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Bukuru Branch, on the celebration of its 2025 Law Week, themed “Understanding AI in Legal Practice: Issues, Dilemmas and Challenges.”
Prof. Dada-Lawanson described the theme as “timely and thought-provoking,” emphasizing its relevance at a period when the legal profession stands at the vital crossroads of law and technology. She noted that the conversations taking place at the Law Week would “undoubtedly enrich our collective understanding of how artificial intelligence can reshape the practice of law,” while reminding legal practitioners of the enduring need to uphold justice, ethics, and fairness.
Commending the leadership and members of the Bukuru Branch for organizing what she termed a “robust platform for intellectual engagement and professional growth,” the Professor expressed optimism that the insights shared during the event would inspire creative, forward-looking, and ethical approaches to the integration of technology in legal practice across Nigeria.
She further encouraged participants to view the evolving landscape of technology not as a threat, but as an opportunity to redefine legal excellence through innovation and integrity.
