It was an evening of solemn reflection and shared grief as members of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), Rivers State Branch, gathered to honour the memory of Miss Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu at a moving Service of Songs held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Corpus Christi Cathedral, Kaduna Street, D/Line, Port Harcourt.

Led by the National Secretary of the Forum, Mrs. Ugwochi Agala, the Rivers State Chapter of the NBA Women Forum turned out in unity and compassion to celebrate the life of a young, vibrant, and committed lawyer whose passion for mentorship and service touched many lives.

Until her passing, Somtochukwu, fondly called Sommie, served diligently as the Coordinator of the Young Female Lawyers Committee of the Forum.

She was known for her selflessness, calm disposition, and dedication to the empowerment of young women in law.
