The Nigerian Bar Association Gwagwalada Branch is organizing a knowledge sharing webinar on the imperative of public health and the need for Nigerian Lawyers to adequately equip themselves to meet the knowledge gap in the area.
The Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education of the Branch, Hassan Luqman, Esq explained that the webinar is organized having noted the yawning gap in public health by Lawyers. “The imperative of legal practitioners’ expertise in ensuring the efficiency in our public health laws and service delivery cannot be overemphasized” he added.
Hassan further noted that, ‘the benefits of the webinar include gaining knowledge about laws protecting public health, preventing disease, promoting healthy behaviors, addressing health disparities and that of emergency response; all these is what public discourse on Public Health Law presents to the benefit of those who may attend the webinar and the general populace.
