The newly formed terrorist group, Lakurawa, has reportedly killed two officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and one civilian at the Kangiwa border in Kangiwa Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

The attack occurred on Saturday near a site where a transmitting mast was to be installed. The mast was designed to detect movements around the border and relay information directly to the NIS database. Community sources and security operatives confirmed the incident.

This incident follows a string of attacks attributed to Lakurawa, including December explosions in two villages within the Dansadau district of Zamfara State. During one such attack, an explosive device planted by the group detonated under a bridge, killing one person and injuring three others.
