As part of the highly anticipated lineup of thought leaders and subject matter experts at the 2025 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference, the Conference Planning Committee is pleased to announce that Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, CON, SAN will serve as the Moderator for the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Session, scheduled to hold on August 25, 2025 in Enugu.
A distinguished legal luminary and statesman, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, SAN is a former Attorney General of the Federation, Minister of Justice, and Minister of Defence, with an extensive portfolio that spans corporate law, public administration, and international arbitration.
He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), a recognised arbitrator and mediator, and one of Nigeria’s most authoritative voices on dispute resolution.
As an advocate for institutional reform and non-adversarial justice, Prince Kayode’s presence at the conference underscores the NBA’s commitment to repositioning ADR as a credible and efficient mechanism for resolving commercial, civil, and cross-border disputes.
The ADR Session is expected to engage delegates on timely topics such as:
- Enhancing the enforceability of arbitral awards in Nigeria
- Institutionalising mediation in high-volume dispute areas
- Strengthening confidence in ADR through regulatory reforms
