The Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo State, has upheld the death sentence handed to Ramon Adedoyin, the owner of Hilton Hotels in Ile-Ife, Osun State, for the murder of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
The judgment reaffirms the ruling of the Osun State High Court, which found Adedoyin guilty of Adegoke’s murder. The appeal court, which had reserved judgment since October 29, 2024, delivered its verdict on Thursday, dismissing Adedoyin’s appeal and confirming the original conviction and sentence.
