NBA-SPIDEL Unveils Theme, Logo, Date, Venue, and Registration Portal for 2025 Annual Conference in Uyo

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State — Wednesday, October 8, 2025

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has officially unveiled the logo, theme, date, venue, and registration portal for its highly anticipated 2025 Annual Conference, set to hold from Monday, December 1, to Friday, December 5, 2025, at the prestigious Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

This year’s conference will be held under the powerful theme, “A Banner Without Stain: Justice, Accountability and Development”. The theme encapsulates SPIDEL’s enduring mission to champion justice, promote transparency, and strengthen ethical leadership and inclusive development across Nigeria.

SPIDEL Leadership Visits Akwa Ibom State Governor

A high-powered delegation comprising key members of SPIDEL’s leadership, the Conference Planning Committee (CPC), and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State ahead of the unveiling ceremony.

Key Remarks from the Unveiling Ceremony

In his remarks, Prof. Paul Ananaba, SAN, Chairman of NBA-SPIDEL, lauded the Akwa Ibom State Government for its warm hospitality and unwavering support, describing Uyo as “a city of excellence and promise.”

Associate Professor Uju Agomoh, Chairperson of the Conference Planning Committee, emphasized that the 2025 Conference is envisioned as “a platform for national transformation and a reaffirmation of the Bar’s role in building an accountable and just society.”

Also speaking, Chief Assam Assam, SAN, expressed optimism about the State’s readiness to host the legal community, noting that “Akwa Ibom is ready and eager to host the legal community and all stakeholders in the pursuit of justice and accountability.”

Conference Registration Now Open

The Conference Planning Committee has announced that registration for the 2025 NBA-SPIDEL Annual Conference is now open via www.nbaspidel.ng. Members of the Bar, Bench, civil society, academia, and development partners are encouraged to register early to enjoy discounted rates under the early-bird window which runs from October 1 to 31, 2025.
