In a heartwarming goodwill message, Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson, Chair of the Lawyers in Academia Forum and former 2nd Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has applauded the NBA Biu and Maiduguri Branches for their visionary collaboration in hosting the 2025 Joint Law Week.
Speaking on the theme, “Technology, Professionalism, and Justice Delivery,” Prof. Dada-Lawanson described it as both “timely and forward-thinking,” reflecting the urgent need for legal professionals to embrace innovation without compromising on ethical standards.
“In an era defined by rapid technological advancement and growing societal demands for efficiency and equity, it is imperative that the legal profession embraces innovation while upholding the highest standards of professionalism,” she noted.
The academic icon further praised the synergy between the two branches, calling their joint effort “an inspiring example of unity in pursuit of excellence.”
She expressed optimism that the engagements during the Law Week would deepen commitment to a more accessible, equitable, and technology-driven justice system, especially in the North-East region of Nigeria.
