Missing Former Nigerian Diplomat Found Dead in US

Police in Tuckahoe, New York, have discovered the body of Ambassador Ejeviome Eloho Otobo, a 70-year-old former Nigerian diplomat, who was reported missing on June 15. He was last seen near Dante Avenue.

Otobo served as Director and Deputy Head of the UN Peacebuilding Support Office between 2006 and 2013 and acted as Assistant Secretary-General in 2009. He was also a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Global Governance Institute in Brussels, Belgium.

A prominent figure in peacebuilding and governance, Otobo authored notable works, including Consolidating Peace in Africa and Africa in Transition, with the latter nominated for the 2018 Grand Prix of Literary Association Award.

Police extended condolences to his family, expressing gratitude to the public for assisting in the investigation.
