Lawyers In Business Institute / Chief Silas E. Agbara, Esq.

Lawyers In Business Institute is intensifying its campaign for financial independence among lawyers and other professionals with an investment strategy that combines real estate, rental income, land banking and Treasury Bills.

Our message is simple: income earned from professional practice should not remain your only source of financial security. Your money should also be positioned to work for you.

At the Lawyers’ Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme, we are demonstrating how residential property can be deliberately structured to create multiple income streams rather than merely serving as a place to live.

One of the current developments is situated on a 300sqm plot and was conceived as a three-bedroom duplex. Internally, however, the property has been strategically configured into two independent two-bedroom flats—one downstairs and another upstairs.

The design gives both occupants a greater degree of privacy and independence.

Each flat has its own separate entrance, while the property also provides two separate gates and two distinct compounds. Each compound can accommodate approximately three vehicles, giving the occupants the exclusivity ordinarily associated with completely separate residential units.

This is what we describe as Affordable Luxury built with wealth creation and income diversification in mind.

Tenants Secured Ahead of Completion

The investment model is already moving beyond construction into income generation.

Tenants have paid for the flats, while finishing works are ongoing ahead of their expected occupation next month.

For an investor, that is the objective: not simply to own property, but to own an asset capable of generating rental income.

The owner does not necessarily have to live in the property—or even reside in Nigeria—to benefit from it.

It is a model particularly suited to professionals, Nigerians in the diaspora and investors interested in building assets capable of producing income independently of their daily employment or professional practice.

Only Eight Plots Remain at the Old Rate

The Lawyers’ Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme currently has only eight plots remaining at the old promotional rate.

Prospective investors are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the available plots while the current offer lasts.

The broader strategy is straightforward: acquire property, develop it intelligently and position it to generate rental income over the long term.

Dr. Emeka Akabogu, SAN, of the NBA Lagos Branch, is among the latest allottees under the Lawyers’ Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme.

His participation adds to the growing number of legal practitioners exploring property ownership and alternative income opportunities beyond conventional legal practice.

Next Treasury Bills Bid: October 21

Our financial-diversification strategy does not stop at real estate.

The next Treasury Bills Primary Market bidding is scheduled for Wednesday, 21st October 2026, providing another opportunity for professionals seeking exposure to fixed-income investment.

Under the current Lawyers In Business arrangement, a contribution of ₦2.5 million is projected to generate approximately ₦424,000 in yield upfront, based on the applicable investment structure being promoted.

A postdated cheque is also issued for the investor’s capital, payable at maturity after the 365-day tenure, according to the arrangement.

Actual Treasury Bills returns depend on the applicable auction rate and final investment terms, so prospective participants should review the documentation and conditions before committing funds.

The thinking behind combining Treasury Bills with property investment is deliberate.

A lawyer or professional who owns income-producing flats while simultaneously maintaining part of his or her capital in fixed-income instruments is gradually reducing dependence on a single source of income.

That is the financial freedom conversation we are driving.

Property + Treasury Bills = Diversified Income Strategy

Our model encourages professionals to think beyond immediate earnings.

Rental income can provide recurring cash flow from a physical asset, while Treasury Bills can provide returns from a fixed-income instrument.

Combined carefully, both can form part of a broader long-term wealth strategy.

The goal is not simply to make money today, but to build assets capable of supporting families, retirement plans and future financial obligations.

The opportunity is designed for professionals who understand that financial independence is rarely created from salary or professional fees alone.

Own the asset. Create the rental income. Diversify the investment. Build for the future.

Only eight plots remain at the old rate.
