Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson Mourns Passing of Prof. Bola Eniola, First NBAWF Ekiti State Lead

The legal and academic communities have been thrown into mourning following the passing of Professor Bola Eniola, the first Ekiti State Lead of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) and a distinguished member of the Faculty of Law, Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti.

Reacting to the sad development, Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson described the late Professor Eniola as a dear colleague, trusted friend, and an exceptional academic whose life was marked by service, purpose, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

“It is with a heavy heart that I received the news of the passing of my dear colleague and friend, Prof. Bola Eniola,” Prof. Dada-Lawanson stated. “Bola was more than a brilliant academic and leader; she was a kind, committed, and purposeful woman whose passion for service and excellence touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.”

She recalled her deep sense of honour in knowing the late Professor and sharing in her vision of empowering women within the legal profession, particularly through her pioneering leadership role in the NBA Women Forum in Ekiti State.

According to Prof. Dada-Lawanson, Prof. Eniola’s demise represents a profound loss, not only to her immediate family and Ekiti State University, but also to the NBA Women Forum and the wider legal community that benefitted immensely from her leadership, integrity, and compassion.

“Her legacy of leadership, integrity, and compassion will continue to live on,” she added.

Prof. Dada-Lawanson offered prayers for divine comfort and strength for Prof. Eniola’s children, family, colleagues at the Faculty of Law, EKSU, members of the NBA Women Forum, and all who mourn her passing.

She concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the late Professor’s soul, describing her as a gentle and impactful soul whose contributions will not be forgotten.
