The directive was issued via a wireless message dated April 10, 2025, referenced CH:8400/FS/FHQ/ABJ/VOL.1/78, and originated from the Office of the Force Secretary, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The memo, titled “Discharge and Retirement,” was sent to all police formations, zonal commands (1–17), and allied agencies. It listed the names and service numbers of the affected officers, all of whom retired between May 1, 2018, and April 1, 2025.
The document instructed the ICT/Computer Unit and the Records and Data Management Section at Force Headquarters to update personnel records immediately, and to ensure the prompt deletion of the listed retirees from the IPPIS system.
