As part of the high-profile speaker lineup at the 2025 Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference (NBA-AGC), Abdulfatah (Abdul) Mohammed, FCIArb, SAN will deliver a thought-provoking session titled “Set Forth at Dawn”, reflecting on discipline, foresight, and strategic action in legal practice.
Themed “Stand Out, Stand Tall,” this year’s NBA-AGC will hold in Enugu State from August 22 to 29, 2025, drawing legal professionals from across Nigeria and beyond.
Mohammed’s session is scheduled for Monday, August 25, and will inspire lawyers to adopt proactive habits, early planning, and purposeful engagement in their professional journey.
A distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Abdul Mohammed currently serves as the Programming and Publicity Secretary of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (BOSAN).

His legal practice spans dispute resolution, corporate-commercial advisory, intellectual property, and election litigation.
He obtained his LL.B (Second Class Upper) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006. He later completed a Master’s in Taxation (2015), consolidating his expertise in fiscal law.
Mohammed has been a Partner at Madyan Legal Consult since 2006, representing top-tier institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank and GTBank, and managing high-stakes arbitration and commercial disputes.
In 2014, he was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria. He received the United States Congressional Award in 2015 for promoting press freedom and was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2020.
His topic — “You Must Set Forth at Dawn” — draws from the timeless principle that early discipline and consistent action are critical to achieving professional excellence.

Mohammed is expected to challenge both young and senior lawyers to embrace a mindset of intentional growth and resilience in the face of legal and societal complexities.
