Chairman, Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia Announces New Leadership Team_

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia, has approved and announced the reconstitution of the Executive Committee of the Insurance and Pensions Committee, one of the Section’s key technical committees.

The newly appointed Executive Committee members are:

• Mrs. Uzoma Dalhatu – 1st Vice Chairman

• Oluwatoba Oguntuase – 2nd Vice Chairman

• Henry Barnabas Ehi – Secretary

• Miss Okoko Ayezu Tamarapreye – Assistant Secretary

The Insurance and Pensions Committee is one of the specialized knowledge-sector committees within the NBA-SBL. It is mandated to:

• Promote awareness, scholarship, and thought-leadership in insurance and pensions law

• Engage regulators, operators, investors, and policymakers within the insurance and pensions ecosystem

• Facilitate capacity building, training programmes, and professional development for legal practitioners

• Support law reform, policy advocacy, and industry standards

• Organize technical sessions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements during SBL conferences and annual activities

Under the leadership of the newly constituted executive committee, the Insurance and Pensions Committee is poised to deepen the Section’s engagement with Nigeria’s insurance and pensions sectors, strengthen professional competence within the Bar, and contribute meaningfully to ongoing reforms within the industry.
