NBA-HRI Calls on Lawyers Nationwide to Champion Human Rights Advocacy

LegalLinkz

As lawyers, we carry the noble duty of defending justice, upholding the rule of law, and giving voice to the voiceless. In a world where human rights are constantly tested, the Nigerian Bar Association established the Human Rights Institute (NBA-HRI) as the specialized arm of the NBA committed to advancing the cause of human rights in Nigeria and beyond.

The NBA-HRI is not just an institute, it is the heartbeat of justice within the Bar. It provides members with opportunities to:

  • Engage in high-level human rights advocacy across Nigeria.
  • Participate in national and international interventions on rule of law, human rights, and constitutional freedoms.
  • Access special trainings, workshops, and collaborations that expand both knowledge and practice.
  • Belong to a network of dedicated lawyers driving social change and influencing public policy.

Whether you are a new wig stepping freshly into practice or a senior colleague with years of standing at the Bar, the NBA-HRI is your institute for meaningful impact.

Soon, registration will be open online for every lawyer to sign up as a member of the Human Rights Institute. This is your opportunity to not just be called to the Bar, but to be called to purpose.
