The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Sokoto Branch held its Annual Bar Dinner and Award Night on Saturday evening, drawing the crème of the legal profession and distinguished guests to an evening marked by elegance, unity, and inspiration.
Among the prominent attendees was the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, whose presence added prestige to the event.
In his remarks, the NBA President lauded the Branch for the remarkable success of this year’s dinner, describing the occasion as “a truly remarkable evening of camaraderie, celebration, and reflection.”
He reserved special commendation for the Chairperson of the NBA Sokoto Branch, Rashidat Mohammed, whom he praised for her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the legal profession.
“Her remarkable strides and dedication reaffirm that leadership is not defined by gender, but by vision, courage, and capacity.
She has not only led with grace but has also ensured that NBA Sokoto Branch continues to gain strong recognition at the national level,” he noted.
Mazi Osigwe expressed hope for greater synergy between the Bar and the Bench in Sokoto, emphasizing the importance of such collaboration in advancing justice and strengthening the rule of law. He also wished the Branch continued success in all its endeavours.
The evening featured the presentation of awards to outstanding members of the legal community, as well as reflections on the branch’s progress and contributions to justice delivery in the state.
With elegance, impact, and a clear message of unity, the 2025 NBA Sokoto Branch Dinner reaffirmed the branch’s growing stature within the NBA family and its commitment to legal excellence.
