Federal High Court to Begin Annual Vacation July 28

The Federal High Court of Nigeria will commence its 2025 annual vacation on July 28, with court sittings scheduled to resume on September 17.

According to a statement by the court’s Director of Information, Mrs. Catherine Oby Christopher, only the core divisions in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt will remain operational during the break to handle matters of extreme urgency.

“Consequently, the litigating public will be at liberty to approach only the above listed courts located nearest to them,” she stated.

The judges assigned to sit during the vacation include Justices Emeka Nwite and M. S. Liman for Abuja; Justices Deinde I. Dipeolu and Musa Kakaki for Lagos; and Justices P. M. Ayua and A. T. Mohammed for Port Harcourt.

The vacation schedule is in line with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019.

Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, extended his best wishes to his colleagues for a restful and pleasant vacation.
