On this solemn Good Friday, we pause to reflect on the profound sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ — a day that symbolizes the ultimate act of love, mercy, and redemption. As legal practitioners, this sacred moment reminds us of the foundational principles that govern our noble profession: justice, compassion, service, and selflessness.
The crucifixion is not just a narrative of suffering, but a powerful testament to the triumph of righteousness over sin, and light over darkness. As Christ laid down His life for humanity, so too are we called, in our daily practice of law, to uphold the dignity of every person, defend the vulnerable, and pursue justice without fear or favour.
May this Good Friday inspire us to renew our commitment to integrity, equity, and ethical advocacy. May the spirit of sacrifice guide our professional conduct and strengthen our resolve to be instruments of peace and justice in our society.
