The duo, accompanied by their lawyer, Barrister Ernest Okpaga of S.M. Oyeghe Legal, attended the scheduled interview on January 7, 2025, but have since been unreachable.

A family source revealed, “The police invited Alexander Enenche and Abraham Daniel on allegations bordering on cyberbullying, criminal defamation, and injurious falsehood. They honoured the invitation but have not returned any calls, raising fears that they may have been detained.”

According to SaharaReporters, the police invitation letters, dated January 3, 2025, referenced CR:3000/FID/FHQ/ABJ/T.G/VOL.57/542 and CR:3000/FID/FHQ/ABJ/T.G/VOL.57/543, instructed them to appear at the Force Intelligence Department Complex, Shehu Shagari Way, Garki, Abuja.

The letters read:
“In furtherance of investigations into the case of Cyber-Bullying, Criminal Defamation, Injurious Falsehood, Making False Publication/Giving False Information, and Inciting Public Nuisance in which the need for some clarifications from you has become imperative, you are requested to report for an interview with the Deputy Inspector General of Police.”

The invitation emphasized the investigative authority granted to the police under Nigeria’s Constitution and Police Act. It also permitted the invitees to attend with their attorney.

The families are now calling for transparency from law enforcement regarding the whereabouts of the two men, urging police authorities to provide clarity and ensure their safety.

The case stems from allegations made by Pastor Abraham Daniel against Pastor Paul Enenche, accusing him of reneging on a private agreement, which has escalated into legal actions.

Further updates are anticipated as the situation unfolds.
