As the world marks International Women’s Day, Folashade Alli, SAN, Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Legal Practice (NBA-SLP), has celebrated the remarkable achievements and contributions of women within the legal profession while urging continued commitment to equality and inclusion.

In her message to colleagues and women of the Bar, Alli noted that the day serves not only as a moment of celebration but also as an opportunity to reflect on the progress made and the work that still lies ahead.

She commended women lawyers for their growing impact across advocacy, academia, public service, and the judiciary, stating that women continue to break barriers, redefine leadership, and demonstrate excellence within the profession.

According to her, while significant strides have been made, important conversations around equal representation in leadership, access to opportunities, mentorship, and work-life balance must remain central to the profession’s development.
