Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Sammie Somiari SAN, has demonstrated strong commitment to the professional advancement of young lawyers by throwing his weight behind the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF) National Summit 2026.
The Summit, scheduled to hold from April 22–24, 2026, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is themed “YLF @20; Rising To Lead.”
In a notable show of support, Sammie Somiari, SAN, has registered all young lawyers in his firm to participate in the Summit. He emphasized that senior members of the Bar bear a longstanding and traditional responsibility to mentor and nurture the next generation of legal practitioners, ensuring continuity, excellence, and leadership within the profession.
His call also extends to other senior members of the Bar to actively support the programmes and initiatives of the Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum, particularly as it marks two decades of structured advocacy and capacity building for young lawyers.

The 2026 Summit is expected to convene young practitioners from across the country for robust discussions on leadership, professional development, and the future of legal practice in Nigeria.
