The abduction of Isyaku M. Danjuma, Esq., a respected member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Birnin-Kebbi Branch, on October 1, 2025, near Ibeto, Magama Local Government Area of Niger State, is both heartbreaking and alarming.
This happened on a day meant to celebrate our nation’s independence, which is a sad reflection of how insecurity continues to undermine peace and freedom in Nigeria.
This incident highlights the growing danger faced by citizens, including lawyers who work daily to uphold justice and the rule of law.
It is an affront to human dignity and a reminder of the State’s urgent duty to protect lives and ensure safety across all regions.

I call on the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), and relevant authorities to act swiftly to secure his release and bring those responsible to justice.
The Federal and Niger State Governments must also strengthen security in Magama and other areas where criminal activity thrives unchecked.
I stand with Mr. Danjuma’s family, his colleagues, and the entire legal community as we demand his immediate and safe return.
