Seun Abimbola, SAN to Speak at 2025 NBA-AGC on Balancing Values and Money in Economic Regulation

Oluseun Abimbola, SAN, former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State, and Senior Partner at Prime Solicitors, will take the stage at the 2025 Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt this August.

He will join a distinguished panel to discuss “Values vs. Money”—a session set to explore how financial policies, lending practices, interest rates, and capitalist drivers serve as economic stimulants, while underscoring the necessity for robust regulation. The panel will also highlight opportunities available to lawyers within these evolving economic frameworks.

A highly respected advocate, Abimbola earned his LL.B and LL.M from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2020. His expertise spans litigation, telecommunications law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, banking, corporate and project finance, and alternative dispute resolution.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an internationally accredited mediator, Abimbola has served as a faculty member for Multi-Door Courthouses in Lagos and Oyo State. In public service, he was Oyo State’s chief law officer between 2016 and 2019. He recently chaired the NBA’s Electoral Committee (ECNBA), overseeing the successful conduct of the 2024 national elections, and is a member of the Body of Benchers.
