The leadership of Egbe Amofin O’odua recently held a closed-door session where it was announced that Aare Muyiwa Akinboro, SAN may have been adopted as their preferred aspirant for the position of President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson addressed the house reaffirming her aspiration to the presidency.
This decision follows the report of the screening committee, which identified Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson and Aare Muyiwa Akinboro, SAN, as the leading aspirants from South West who hail from Osun State.
At the said meeting, Professor Dada-Lawanson graciously reaffirmed her commitment to the NBA and reiterated that she remains a bona fide aspirant for the position of President of the Association.

She expressed her appreciation for the ongoing consultations and support she continues to receive across branches and interest groups nationwide.
This serves to clarify that while Egbe Amofin may have announced its support for Aare Akinboro, SAN, Professor Foluke Dada-Lawanson has not withdrawn from the race and remains firmly committed to offering herself for service to the Bar.
