The much-anticipated Dada-Lawanson Female Table Tennis Competition, sponsored by Prof. Mrs. Foluke Dada-Lawanson, was successfully held on May 23, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Bar House, Benin City.
The event brought together female athletes from across the region in a thrilling display of skill, sportsmanship, and determination.
It was a vibrant evening that celebrated women’s excellence in sports and underscored the importance of creating opportunities for female participation in recreational and competitive events.
Participants competed for attractive cash prizes, with winners emerging in the following order:
- 1st Prize: ₦100,000
- 2nd Prize: ₦50,000
- 3rd Prize: ₦30,000
The tournament was organized with the support of A.Y. Thomas, Social Secretary, who coordinated registrations and logistics.
Prof. Dada-Lawanson, a passionate advocate for youth development and gender inclusion, was applauded for her commitment to promoting sports among women. The event also served as a platform for networking and empowerment among female professionals and sports enthusiasts.
