Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mr. John Tyoapine, the immediate past Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Makurdi Branch.
In a message of condolence personally issued by the former 2nd Vice President of the NBA and Chair of the Lawyers in Academia Forum, Prof. Dada-Lawanson described Mr. Tyoapine’s death as a painful and irreparable loss not just to the Makurdi Branch but to the legal profession at large.
“Mr. Tyoapine’s commitment to the ideals of justice and professional excellence was evident in his service and leadership,” she wrote.
“The news is made even more heartbreaking knowing that he had recently been blessed with the gift of twin children—what a tender reminder of the fragility of life.”

She extended her heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, praying for divine strength and comfort to all who mourn him.
“May the Almighty grant you all the strength to bear this loss, and may the soul of our departed colleague find peaceful rest,” she added.
Prof. Dada-Lawanson concluded her message with a solemn assurance: “Please be assured of my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
