The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Sokoto Branch has received high commendation from Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson, Chair of the Lawyers in Academia Forum and past 2nd Vice President of the NBA (2018–2020), following the successful hosting of its Annual General Meeting and Award Night held on Sunday, 6th July 2025.
In her congratulatory message, Prof. Dada-Lawanson praised the branch for its continued demonstration of excellence, unity, and commitment to professional development within the legal community.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Sokoto Branch on the successful hosting of your Annual General Meeting and Award Night,” she wrote.
“These events reflect the continued vibrancy, unity, and commitment of your Branch to excellence and professional growth within the legal community.”
She gave special recognition to Rashidat Mohammed, the Chairperson of the Branch, for her impactful leadership and unwavering dedication to the growth of the NBA Sokoto Branch.
“I commend your continued service and leadership, which have no doubt contributed to the strength and stability of the Branch.”
The message also acknowledged the collective efforts of the entire executive committee:

“Your collective efforts are building a legacy of integrity, purpose, and progress for the legal profession in Sokoto and beyond.”
Prof. Dada-Lawanson concluded with words of encouragement and optimism, expressing her best wishes for the branch’s future engagements and initiatives.
“As you continue to serve, I wish you all a tenure filled with impactful initiatives, collaborative success, and meaningful contributions to justice and the rule of law. Congratulations once again, and may the NBA Sokoto Branch continue to thrive.”
The NBA Sokoto Branch’s AGM and Award Night has become a flagship event, celebrating excellence and reinforcing the values of leadership, service, and community within the legal profession.
