Police Arrest Suspect as Investigation Commences
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a man, Christian Ndubuisi, for allegedly stabbing his elder brother to death during an argument that turned violent. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday in the 3-3 area of Anambra State.

Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest in a statement released on Sunday. He stated that officers from the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters responded swiftly to the distress call and apprehended Ndubuisi at the crime scene.
According to SP Ikenga, preliminary investigations indicate that the altercation between the two brothers escalated when the suspect, in a fit of rage, broke a bottle and stabbed his elder sibling.

Victim Pronounced Dead at Hospital
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, but medical personnel confirmed him dead on arrival.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital and was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty,” Ikenga said.
Police Commissioner Reacts: Emphasizes Need for Conflict Resolution
Reacting to the tragic incident, Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, described the event as a sobering reminder of the critical need for effective conflict resolution and anger management.
“It is unfortunate that a minor disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation, leading to the loss of life,” Orutugu stated.
The Commissioner also assured the public that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Awka for a thorough investigation. He reiterated the commitment of the police to ensuring that justice prevails in the matter.
