NBAWF Rivers Chapter Sparkles at End-of-Year Award Ceremony

The End of Year and Award Ceremony of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), Rivers State Chapter, was a colourful and memorable event, marked by elegance, glitz, and glamour.

With the dress code themed Ankara in Christmas Colours, female lawyers turned out in stunning outfits that reflected both culture and the festive spirit, adding colour and sophistication to the occasion.

The event recorded the presence of several distinguished personalities within the legal community, including *Hon. Justice P. C. Mini , Hon. Justice Omonigho Nwibani, the Chairmen of Port Harcourt, Okirika and Omoku branches of the NBA*, among other respected dignitaries

The event commenced at 4:30 p.m. with a welcome address by the State Lead of the NBA Women Forum, Rivers State Chapter, Mrs. Faith Ngozi Amadi, who served as the Chief Host of the occasion.

In her remarks, she reflected on the Forum’s activities and programs throughout the year, appreciated resource persons and members for their dedication and support, and described the year as impactful.

She further assured members of more strategic partnerships and empowering programs and projects in the coming year.

This was followed by goodwill messages from the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, the Chairperson of FIDA Rivers State, and the National Secretary of the NBA Women Forum, all of whom commended the Forum for its commitment to capacity building, advocacy, and the professional development of female lawyers.

A brief but impactful address was delivered by the Immediate Past National Secretary of NBAWF, Mrs. Irene Iniobong Pepple, who reminded members that beyond the festivities of the season, the legal profession demands continuous preparedness.

She challenged lawyers to reflect on their readiness to return to practice in the new year and to remain committed to excellence and client satisfaction.

The highlight of the event was the Award Presentation, during which distinguished individuals were honoured for their outstanding support, dedication, and contributions to the growth and activities of the NBA Women Forum, Rivers State Chapter.

This segment underscored the Forum’s culture of appreciation and recognition of service, partnership, and excellence.

The Forum also commended the ten-member Planning Committee, led by Mrs. Adata Bio-Briggs, for their commitment and effective coordination, which contributed significantly to the smooth organization and overall success of the event.

The evening featured engaging games, lively dance sessions, and ample networking opportunities, fostering camaraderie and strengthening professional bonds among members and guests.

The NBA Women Forum, Rivers State Chapter, sincerely appreciates everyone who took time to attend and support the event and wishes all members and guests a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
