The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), Onitsha Branch, Anambra State Chapter, held a remarkable Health Walk and Free Cervical Cancer Screening today, Saturday, 18th October 2025, as part of the build-up activities to its forthcoming Inaugural Summit scheduled for Thursday, 23rd October 2025.
The event, which kicked off at the Bar Center by 6:30 a.m., recorded an impressive turnout of female lawyers, colleagues, and supporters of the Forum.
It was a morning filled with energy, laughter, fitness, and sisterhood, as participants walked through designated routes promoting wellness and awareness on cervical cancer prevention.
The organization was seamless, and every detail reflected the commitment and excellence the NBAWF Onitsha Branch is known for.

Special appreciation goes to the Chairman, Planning Committee, Precious Odimegwu, ACIArb, together with her super squad team, for their exceptional coordination and dedication.
The Forum also appreciated its indefatigable Branch Facilitator, Lauretta Ikwuka, MCArb, whose guidance, passion, and support have been instrumental in the success of this event and the Forum’s ongoing initiatives.
Heartfelt thanks went to one of the Forum’s quintessential leaders, Oyinkansola O. Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, who graciously serves as the Keynote Speaker for the main event coming up on the 23rd of October.
Her encouragement and presence motivated members of the Forum during the health walk.
The success of today’s Health Walk reaffirms the Premier Bar’s leadership spirit under the dynamic Chairmanship of Afam Obi, Esq., and the very senior male members of the branch, whose unwavering support continues to propel the branch forward.

Indeed, it was a day well spent in the spirit of health, unity, and purpose. The NBAWF Onitsha Branch has once again set the pace!
