The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) Sokoto Chapter, in furtherance of its commitment to the welfare, wellbeing, and empowerment of women lawyers, is set to organize a Free Medical Outreach in collaboration with Maikibo Medical Center for women lawyers and women from the general public.
The outreachsse is designed to promote preventive healthcare, early detection of common health conditions, and increased health awareness among women lawyers. It underscores NBAWF’s belief that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right and a critical component of women’s social and economic participation.
The outreach will feature free medical consultations, basic health screenings, health education, and professional medical advice, delivered by qualified healthcare practitioners from Maikibo Medical Center. Participants requiring further medical attention will be appropriately referred for follow-up care.
NBAWF encourages women across all sectors to take advantage of this opportunity to assess their health status in a supportive and confidential setting, at no cost.
This initiative forms part of NBAWF’s broader advocacy agenda focused on promoting women’s rights, wellbeing, and inclusive community development.
Participation is free and open to all women.
The medical outreach is a one day program aimed in the upliftment of women’s health as a healthy woman is a healthy nation.
