In a strong show of solidarity for women’s health, the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), FCT Chapter, is set to host its Inaugural Annual Pink October Awareness event on Saturday, 25th October 2025, under the theme “Uniting Against Breast Cancer: Every Story Matters.”
The event, scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Hon. Justice L.H. Gummi Square, High Court of the FCT Complex, Maitama, Abuja, will bring together female legal practitioners and health professionals in a morning of fitness, learning, and advocacy.
Participants are encouraged to attend in sportswear, as the programme will feature aerobics and stretch sessions, health talks by medical experts, demonstrations on self-breast examination, and discussions on nutrition and lifestyle tips.
Attendees will also enjoy light African refreshments, and ICLE-CDP points will be awarded.
Organised in collaboration with medical practitioners, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, the awareness initiative underscores the Forum’s commitment to promoting wellness among women in the legal community and beyond.
With the message “Early Detection Saves Lives, Get Involved, Get Screened!” the NBAWF FCT Chapter continues to amplify the call for proactive health awareness and collective action against breast cancer.
