In a bold move to address the persistent security challenges facing Nigeria’s North-Central region, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), under the leadership of Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, is set to convene the NBA North-Central Security Summit 2025 in Makurdi, Benue State.
Themed “Strengthening Security, Rule of Law, and Justice Delivery in North-Central Nigeria,” the summit will take place from 27th to 30th July 2025, drawing key stakeholders from across the legal, security, traditional, and civil society sectors.
Spearheaded by the Office of the 3rd Vice President of the NBA, and diligently supervised by Zainab Aminu Garba, the four-day event promises robust conversations and pragmatic strategies focused on:
- Enhancing regional security cooperation
- Reforming justice delivery systems
- Promoting law enforcement accountability
- Fostering sustainable peace and development
The summit aims to create a unified platform for collective action, emphasizing the vital role of the legal profession in fostering stability, equity, and justice in one of Nigeria’s most affected zones.
