NBA-SPIDEL Opens 2026 Membership Registration, Releases Annual Dues and Committee Structure

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) has announced the commencement of its 2026 membership registration, inviting interested legal practitioners to formally enrol through its official online portal.

According to the announcement, prospective and existing members are to complete their registration via the NBA-SPIDEL Membership Registration Portal at:
https://nbaspidel.ng/membership/

In line with its inclusive professional framework, NBA-SPIDEL has also released its 2026 Annual Dues Schedule, categorised by post-call experience:

  • 1–5 years post-call: ₦5,000
  • 6–10 years post-call: ₦10,000
  • 11–20 years post-call: ₦15,000
  • 21 years post-call and above: ₦20,000
  • Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs): ₦30,000

The Section further disclosed that it currently operates through two standing committees, namely:

  1. Public Interest Litigation Committee
  2. Development Law Committee

For members seeking active participation at the committee level, NBA-SPIDEL outlined the Committee Membership Dues as follows:

  • 0–5 years post-call: ₦3,000
  • 6–10 years post-call: ₦5,000
  • 11 years post-call and above: ₦10,000

NBA-SPIDEL continues to play a pivotal role in advancing public interest advocacy, development-oriented legal practice, and policy engagement within the Nigerian legal profession. The Section encourages eligible practitioners to take advantage of the registration window and participate actively in its programmes and committees.
