NBA-SBL Visits NBA President, Strengthens Strategic Ties

July 2025, the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), under the leadership of its Chair, Mrs. Ozofu ‘Latunde Ogiemudia, paid a strategic courtesy visit to the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN.

The high-level delegation included the Founding Chair of the NBA-SBL, Mr. George Etomi; Former Treasurer, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo, SAN; Secretary, Mrs. Ayoyinka Olajide-Awosedo; Assistant Secretary, Mr. Rotimi Ogunyemi; Financial Secretary, Ms. Olufunmilayo Otsemobor;

Executive Committee Member, Mr. Kehinde Daodu; and key members of the Regulatory Engagement Committee, Ms. Toyin Bashir (Chair) and Mr. Marx Ikongbeh (Vice Chair), as well as Ms. Ayomide Soretire.

The NBA leadership was also represented at the meeting by the 3rd Vice President, Mrs. Zainab Aminu Garba; General Secretary, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara; and Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Ehi Barnabas Henry.

The engagement provided a platform for robust dialogue on the ongoing and future activities of the NBA-SBL and highlighted pathways for closer alignment between the Section and the broader goals of the NBA under Mazi Osigwe’s administration.

In a continuation of its institutional outreach, the NBA-SBL delegation also visited the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Ms. Aisha Rimi—herself a former Vice Chair of the Section.

This visit reaffirmed the Section’s commitment to fostering productive collaborations across both legal and investment sectors, while honoring the impactful leadership of its past officeholders.

The courtesy visits reflect NBA-SBL’s enduring mission to drive excellence in business law practice and to deepen partnerships that advance the rule of law and economic development in Nigeria.
