The Nigerian Bar Association – Lawyers with Disabilities Forum (NBA-LWDF) is proud to announce its upcoming Zonal Stakeholders’ Summit on Disability Inclusion.
This significant event is scheduled to take place on January 29, 2025, at the Prime Lodge Event Centre, Prime Lodge Apartments Ltd, Damboa Road, Maiduguri, Borno State, starting at 9:00 AM.

Under the theme: “The Criminality of Disability Discrimination: Evaluating the Preparedness of Law Enforcement Agencies and Relevant Stakeholders“. The summit aims to address pressing issues surrounding disability discrimination in Nigeria.
This initiative aligns with NBA-LWDF’s commitment to promoting equality, inclusion, and justice for persons with disabilities (PWDs) across the the legal profession and beyond.
The summit will provide a platform to analyze and evaluate the role of law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders in addressing disability discrimination. It is an opportunity to explore practical strategies for improving inclusion and accessibility for PWDs.

Esteemed dignitaries and erudite professionals will lead the conversations. The keynote address will be delivered by the very distinguished Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, SAN, a legal professional per excellence.
The summit will provide participants with a platform to engage with policymakers, legal professionals, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders who are passionate about promoting disability rights and fostering inclusion.
Your participation will contribute to shaping actionable policies that protect the rights of PWDs and ensure their full participation in society.
The Summit is being hosted by the Borno State Government under the indefatigable leadership of His Excellency Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum CON mniwho is the Chief host.
The Forum is hereby inviting all members of the legal profession to be a part of this historic occasion by not only attending but also spreading the word to everyone else.
