The Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada Branch, Mr Hassan Luqman, has lauded the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, for delivering a top-notch and well-attended training during the branch’s monthly general meeting held on 26th September 2025.
The ICPC Chairman, alongside key members of the Commission, including the Director of Legal Services, Mr Henry Emore, led an insightful lecture on the importance of compliance with the anti-money laundering provisions of the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners, 2025. The session, which formed part of the branch’s Continuing Legal Education series, was monitored by a representative of the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE), Mr Okechuckwu.
Mr Hassan expressed deep appreciation to Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, for honouring the branch and delivering such a career-transforming lecture. He also congratulated members of the branch on the opportunity and reaffirmed the CLE Committee’s commitment to organizing similar impactful trainings to help members earn their requisite CPD points while enhancing their professional skills and development.

In addition, Mr Hassan extended his gratitude to the resource persons, Dr Ilias Aliyu, Executive Director of Save the Consumers Initiative, and Dr Asiawu Belgore-Abdulhamid, Head of the Islamic Law Department at the University of Abuja, for their impactful webinar on Consumer Rights Protection in Nigeria, held on 24th September 2025.
He commended the leadership of the branch under the administration of Mr Clever N. Owhor, the branch chairman, for its unwavering support of the CLE Committee. Furthermore, he congratulated the newly called-to-bar members of the branch and encouraged young lawyers to take full advantage of the CLE Committee’s training opportunities to ensure continuous career and professional growth.
