NBA Garki Branch (Liberty Bar) Calls for Articles for 3rd Edition of Liberty Bar Journal

The Editorial Board of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Garki Branch, Abuja – widely known as the Liberty Bar – has officially opened its call for scholarly articles, case notes, and legal reviews for publication in the 3rd Edition of the Liberty Bar Journal, slated for release in 2025.

This peer-reviewed journal welcomes original and unpublished contributions across all areas of law and practice, including case notes, statute reviews, and book reviews relevant to the development and understanding of Nigerian legal practice.

 Submission Guidelines:

  1. Originality: Submissions must be original and not infringe copyright.
  2. Exclusivity: Articles must be submitted exclusively to the Liberty Bar Journal.
  3. Length:
    • Articles: Maximum of 6,000 words
    • Case notes, statute/book reviews: Maximum of 4,000 words
    • Abstract: Not more than 250 words
  4. Format:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Times New Roman, font size 12 (main text), 10 (footnotes)
    • 1.5 line spacing (main text), single spacing (footnotes)
  5. Citation Style:
  6. Footnotes & Bibliography: Must include accurate citations and a bibliography at the end.
  7. Author Details:
    • Include full name, title, qualifications, current employment, and email on the first page as a footnote.
  8. Deadline:
    • All entries must be submitted on or before 10th June, 2025.
  9. Reward for Young Lawyers:
    • Young contributors whose articles are accepted for publication shall receive special recognition and rewards.
