In a landmark demonstration of member-focused leadership, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Effurun Branch, under the dynamic chairmanship of Onoriode W. Ewenode, Esq., has unveiled its Mid-Year Market Support Scheme (MMSS)—a welfare-driven initiative designed to ease the economic pressure on members.
As earlier promised in the approved Branch Budget and reiterated in previous editions of “From the Chairman’s Desk”, the initiative will see essential food items purchased at current market rates and sold to members at 50% subsidized prices through the Branch Market at the Bar Centre.
“The goal,” Chairman Ewenode noted, “is to provide tangible support to our members by meeting them at the point of their everyday needs.
This scheme is part of our broader vision to ensure that no member of NBA Effurun is left behind.”

The MMSS Committee will shortly publish the list of foodstuffs to be made available, along with pricing, dates, venue details, and terms of sale.
This bold welfare action underscores NBA Effurun Branch’s deep commitment to practical support and purposeful leadership—delivering on promises that truly matter.
