In a major milestone for legal education in the region, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Afikpo Branch—popularly known as The Rock Bar—has officially secured accreditation from the NBA Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) as a certified service provider for Continuing Legal Education (CLE).
This significant achievement, announced by the Publicity Secretary and Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) Chair, Chibuzor Urom Esq, marks a new chapter under the visionary leadership of the Branch Chairman, Mrs. Eberechukwu E. Omezue-Nnali.
The approval empowers the Branch to independently organize and deliver accredited training programs for its members and the wider legal community.
The development directly addresses growing concerns among legal practitioners regarding how to meet the mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements tied to the annual renewal of practicing licenses.

With this new status, NBA Afikpo members can now earn CPD points more conveniently, thereby fulfilling regulatory requirements without the added burden of external sourcing.
“This is a bold step in ensuring our members are not left behind in the evolving demands of legal practice,” the Branch said in its statement, expressing pride in the proactive move.
Congratulations continue to pour in for the NBA Afikpo Branch, as The Rock Bar solidifies its position as a forward-thinking and member-focused NBA Branch.
