The Immediate Past Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF), Iniobong Irene Pepple, Esq., AICMC, McArb, has joined the legal community in mourning the heartbreaking death of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, the 29-year-old lawyer, broadcaster, and Coordinator of the NBAWF Young Lawyers Committee.
In her moving tribute, Pepple described Sommie as “an extraordinary young lawyer, a gifted broadcaster, and a committed and resourceful worker within the NBA Women Forum’s Young Lawyers Committee.”
She lamented that such a vibrant life could be cut short through violence, calling the loss “not only a personal tragedy to her family and loved ones, but also a heavy blow to the legal profession and to all who were touched by her passion and excellence.”

She urged that justice must prevail, stressing that those responsible for the tragedy must be held accountable.
“May Sommie’s soul rest in peace, and may her light continue to shine in the many lives she impacted,” Pepple concluded.
