Immediate Past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Akwa Ibom State, Uwemedimo Nwoko, SAN, has endorsed the presidential aspiration of Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, describing her as the leader the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) needs at this defining moment in its history.
In his endorsement, the Life Bencher said the NBA has reached a critical point where the decisions of its members will shape not only the Association’s immediate future but also its enduring legacy.
According to him, his years of observing Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya have revealed a lawyer of exceptional ability, unwavering integrity, and an uncommon commitment to the legal profession.
He noted that she has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is measured not by titles, but by competence, service, and the ability to inspire confidence.

Nwoko stated that the NBA deserves a President who understands the challenges confronting the Bar, appreciates its diversity, and possesses the courage to pursue meaningful reforms anchored on fairness, inclusiveness, and accountability.
He expressed confidence that Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya embodies these qualities.
He further described her campaign philosophy, “Bold Initiatives, Measurable Outcomes,” as more than a slogan, saying it represents a commitment to purposeful leadership and tangible results.
According to him, the vision reflects a readiness to strengthen the Association’s institutions, improve members’ welfare, uphold the independence of the Bar, and reposition the NBA to play its vital role in advancing justice and the rule of law.
Declaring his support, the former Attorney General urged lawyers across all NBA branches to look beyond personalities and focus on the values, experience, competence, and capacity Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya brings to the office of President.

He expressed confidence that, if elected, Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, would lead the Nigerian Bar Association with wisdom, humility, and purpose, leaving the Association stronger than she found it.
The endorsement adds to the growing support for Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya’s presidential bid ahead of the forthcoming NBA National Elections.
