Forum of Branch Chairmen of NBA In the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Paid a Courtesy Visit to the NBA President; Pledges To Support and Collaborate With Her Administration

The Forum of Chairmen of Branches of the Nigerian Bar Association in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, has paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, FCIArb., reaffirming its commitment to constructive engagement and close collaboration with the National Leadership of the Association.

During the meeting, the Branch Chairmen expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and assured her of their continued support towards the successful implementation of the objectives and programmes of her administration.

Particular attention was given to initiatives aimed at advancing the welfare and professional development of members of the Association.

The Forum also welcomed the choice of Abuja as host city for the 2027 NBA Annual General Conference, describing the decision as a significant opportunity to deepen professional engagement, strengthen unity within the Association and bring lawyers from across the country together in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Chairmen equally raised concerns relating to members’ welfare, administrative matters and the effective functioning of NBA Branches within the FCT, stressing the importance of sustained engagement between the Branches and the National Leadership.

Responding, Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya thanked the Chairmen for the visit and acknowledged the issues raised during the meeting.

She assured the Forum of her commitment to addressing the concerns through continued dialogue and constructive engagement.

The meeting ended on a cordial note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to collaboration and the continued advancement of the Nigerian Bar Association.

The development was disclosed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Dr. Prince Azubuike.
