The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Warri Branch, has announced its 2025 Law Week, scheduled to hold from November 6 to 8, 2025, at the Bar Centre, Effurun High Court, Delta State.
This year’s celebration centers on advancing the implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law across Delta State, with a lineup of impactful activities designed to engage legal practitioners, community leaders, and human rights advocates.
The Law Week will commence on Thursday, November 6, with sensitization activities in various regions, including Effurun, Udu, Sapele, Ughelli, Oleh, and Warri.
On Friday, November 7, participants will converge for a Continuing Legal Education session themed “Upholding Justice and Protection: Navigating the VAPP Law in Delta State.”

The three-day event will conclude on Saturday, November 8, with a dinner and award presentation.
Stakeholders from the legal profession, civil society, and the community are invited to participate and support the event, which aims to strengthen awareness and enforcement of human rights laws, particularly those protecting women and children.
