The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria proudly celebrates Inime Aguma, Past CVP of FIDA Nigeria, on the occasion of her birthday, July 4th.
Aguma stands tall as a beacon of integrity, legal excellence, and service-driven leadership. Her sterling contributions to the legal profession and the advancement of women’s and children’s rights have left an enduring mark on FIDA at both national and international levels.
During her tenure as CVP of FIDA Nigeria, Aguma exhibited the highest standards of accountability and strategic financial management. Her stewardship strengthened the financial foundation of the organization globally and reinforced FIDA’s credibility as a voice for justice and equality.

Beyond her role in FIDA, Mrs. Aguma has served over six times with distinction as a Commissioner in Rivers State, where she championed progressive legal reforms, gender-sensitive justice systems, and access to justice for the most vulnerable.
“True leadership is not about occupying a position, but about leaving a legacy of truth, trust, and transformation,” said FIDA Nigeria in a statement released today.
“Mrs. Aguma embodies the very spirit of FIDA—dedicated to justice, rooted in service, and committed to empowering others.”
