The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for applications from qualified legal practitioners interested in appointments to the Federal High Court Bench, following a request by the Honourable Chief Judge of the Federal High Court via a letter dated May 26, 2025.
The opportunity is open to lawyers from Abia, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Imo, Kaduna, Plateau, and Taraba States.
Eligible members of the Bar are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to the NBA on or before June 19, 2025. The application must include proof of qualifications, legal experience, professional ethics, and compliance with NBA regulations.

10-year records of BPF and Branch dues

NBA Conference attendance records

Proof of membership in NBA Sections or Fora

At least six certified judgments from contested cases within the past five years

A letter of good standing from the Branch Chairman referencing NJC guidelines on character, competence, and professional ethics
