It is expedient to clarify that the report on the NBA President’s partisanship is misleading.
To put the record straight, there was no protest by NEC members, but one member, a supporter of an aspirant, pointed out that bottled water was shared with the picture of Oyinkasola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, an aspirant for NBA President.
For the record, the water was neither provided by the President nor the bearer of brand. It was shared by a well wisher without making any reference to the President.
The NBA President who must have seen other aspirants sharing branded items in the previous NEC meetings and other functions merely observed that those with eyes wide open shouldn’t be seen spreading pepper.

The NBA President merely emphasized his personal discretion as a voting member by saying that when the time comes he is entitled to cast his vote for a candidate of his choice.
He added that his right to vote for a candidate of his choice at the appropriate time will not be violating any law or the NBA Constitution. He didn’t indicate preference for any aspirant who indicated interest so far.
The President also assured NEC members that his discretion wouldn’t compromise the election’s integrity and pledged a free, fair, and transparent process.
Insinuations suggesting otherwise are not only baseless but also empty, hollow and bereft of substance.
To the best of my knowledge, the NBA President has maintained neutrality and faithfulness in handling NBA affairs since taking office.
