A devastating explosion at an Islamiyyah school in the Kuchibuyi Community, Kubwa, Abuja, has claimed the life of a student and injured four others.
According to a security source, the deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was reportedly carrying a substance suspected to be an improvised explosive device (IED) when it detonated. The incident caused chaos and panic within the school premises.

Emergency and security personnel, including a police bomb disposal squad, were swiftly deployed to the scene. Injured victims were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.
The affected students were reportedly new to the school, having resumed on January 3, 2025.
